NOCTI offers standardized testing and customized assessments for students studying career and technical programs. As the largest provider of credentials and certifications for students who are receiving career and technical education, or CTE, NOCTI is a valuable asset for any student. NOCTI assessments can provide helpful information to teachers and students regarding their knowledge and skills within a technical program. NOCTI also works with the National College Credit Recommendation Service to provide CTE students with credentials that will translate to college credit.
The Virginia Board of Education has selected many of the NOCTI occupational competency assessments as substitute student-selected verified credit tests. The Office of Career and Technical Education also supports the use of these assessments for program improvement purposes as well as for external credentialing.
