The Connecticut Technical High School System
The mission of the Connecticut Technical High School System (CTHSS) is to provide a unique and rigorous high school learning environment that:
- Ensures both student academic success, and trade/technology mastery and instills a zest for lifelong learning
- Prepares students for post-secondary education, including apprenticeships, and immediate productive employment
- Responds to employers' and industries' current and emerging and changing global workforce needs and expectations through business/school partnerships
NOCTI Assessments and CTHSS
NOCTI performance assessments are administered in trade/technology programs at technical high schools as part of the CTHSS statewide assessment program.
Test results are shared with the school administrative team and all of the technology teachers involved in the NOCTI trade/technology assessment. The test data is used to identify potential areas for improvement and to create an action plan with specific strategies to address them for each trade/technology program assessed.
The use of NOCTI's Data Upload Tool by CTHSS allows schools to easily and accurately assign student data to QuadNetTM, NOCTI's Online System.
